OVACO’s Casting Lines
Ovaco has two complete casting lines consisting of a 150,000 lb.
melting furnace and a 100,000 lb holding furnace. Each line operates
independently with is own casting pit, capable of producing 240",
uncropped log. These two lines, plus an extra melter, assures
that you will receive our quality billet on time.
Ovaco casts the following sizes of ”Maxi-cast”
billet: 6", 7", 8", 9", 10", 11".
Ovaco is also capable of casting 6", 7", and 12"
air slip billet. Common AlSiMg alloys available are 6005A, 6061,
6063, 6005, 6101, 6105, 6060 alloy, and 6061 forging stock. Ovaco
offers state-of-the-art degassing and filtration with each casting
line.
We adhere to Aluminum Association standards or
to your individual specified need. Other specialty alloys are
considered individually.
